During large games, the bridge can become the most vigorously contested areas of the course. It is heavily guarded on both sides by a line of bunkers, as well as rear support from the base and artillery site. Whoever controls the bridge, will also control the northern end of the course.

The artillery site is a defensive position that overlooks the road and is able to provide cover fire on the bridge. It often becomes the base of operation for the eastern team, because of its protective cover and excellent viewpoint.
